Not sure where you are, buy here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwestern VA (Floyd) my tomatoes look great. They are over 5' tall (staked) and full of green tomatoes with some now beginning to blush - and the best news is no sign of any disease yet, not even yellow lower leaves. They seem to like the somewhat cooler and drier air here at 2,600 feet.

I lost a bunch of plants with the flooding in May, but the survivors are slowly getting their act together. I've got tons of green tomatoes but only had one ripe one so far. Lots of catfacing too, with all the back and forth weather. Oddly enough my Cherokee Purples seem to be well ahead of my Early Girls. And here I thought planting an early variety would let me have tomatoes before July this year. :-(

I have not harvested any tomatoes yet, but my tomato plants are looking very good. This year I planted them among my landscaping plants on the south side of the house. I started this flower bed last year by covering the grass with shredded limbs, so the soil (mostly clay) was not very good. last year my tomatoes did not grow well. This year before planting each tomato plant, I dug a large hole in the shredded limbs and filled it with garden soil and compost/manure. I also added 1 tablespoon of epsom salt before transplanting the tomato. This year they are loaded with green tomatoes and show very little diseases, if any.

If you're certain you have blossom end rot dust all the plants with powdered lime. It won't stop it but will slow it down. We've been getting tomatoes for about 3 weeks and so far they look ok but will keep fingers crossed anyway. We're farther southwestern VA than Tom in Floyd.

ok its not the end of the season but it's been a brutal year for tomatoes here in Virginia Beach. Extraordinarily cold spring followed by dry for month followed by extreme hot humidity. To cap it off TS Hermine just blew thru this weekend and wrecked the remaining plants for the fall.

As you will see I grow a lot of the grafted tomatoes due to replanting in the same spot (very small backyard garden) and the disease resistance. I had to plant some non grafted varieties because Burpee made a big error in my original order and they didn't have grafts in stock anymore. I stand by grafted plants and will likely not plant anything other next year. I did not spray fungicide this year or tend to them nearly as much as needed so please take these notes with a huge grain of salt.

under2manyjeeps, do you think the fusarium wilt came in on the plants or is it already present in your garden? It's quite a nasty problem and I hope you get a handle on it.
