Please help me decide on what I should do. I am looking for extra space in my home. I was thinking of adding another room off my kitchen I would like to have expanded my eating area but unfortunately it's over my budget. I can open the existing wall a couple more inches wider.. Should I continue the floor one level or 1-2 steps down.

I know that either way I have to have steps going out to the backyard.

Your thoughts ?
