What might this be?

Every leaf is different, they said trifasciata - the leaves are very thick. They said they'd had it a loooong time (C&S nursery) - I get the feeling Sans don't move for them. What do you think?

    I think I'm envious.

I took a look through the JC book and there is only one plant he describes as having almost Golden Hahnii coloration but the old growth reverts to trifasciata and clearly this one does not. I can't believe the stuff you find NextO!

Well, I've not seen anything like this. Variegates are not my priority, but this one with every leaf different....The owners of this nursery were hobbyists before they went pro with a really cool little nursery and I'm kinda surprised at their casual attitude towards Sans but then no doubt they have other areas of focus. Again, we'll see how it grows.

If this is a trifasciata, it could be Lillian True aka Slipped Stripes. Is the variegation different on front and reverse of leaves or does each side match?

You might take off the leaf that's in worst condition and put it into some medium to root, you'll know what the species is by the end of summer. That leaf with the middle stripe and rip at the top is a good candidate, and by the way it looks like the stripe is the same on front and reverse. What about other leaves?

I don't know what it is, but it is quite a find. Lucky you! I'm looking forward to watching your collection grow. Please keep showing your pics.

I figure it's best I repot this one anyway based on the other NOID I got that was extremely potbound. If they had it for years and this is what it still looks like, dunno, I should think it would be a bigger plant, especially for a trifasciata. So, I will do that, wash off all the soil and report my findings. Good eye Stush!

Hi! On this website I found several that sort of resemble the one plant in that pot that looks different from the other 2; check it out...

Good find, Mary. That glasshouseworks one that is trifasciata X desertii variegated looks like a strong contender.

So, it is all the same plant/rhizome. Areas of rot below the top dressing....I potted it higher, sprayed it with Listerine (which has been really effective on the other plants BTW). It's in gritty mix. Next week I'll feed it. I've come to the conclusion Sans quite like to be fed, they readily respond, that's what I've noticed.

Good eye Stush. It's be interesting to know if that leaf with all the skinny stripes is attached to the rhizomes of the other type leaves.

That one leaf reminds me of metallica 'White Striped Giant', but I doubt that's what it is.

Vitorama, "Desertii" is exactly the one I thought most resembled the plant in question, but there were several others that were close...

All leaves are attached to rhizomes attached to one another (one plant). It's obvious from the condition of the plant and what they said to me about how long they've had it, that this plant has just been surviving. I'm hoping to bring it up to thriving and see what it can really do. I don't think it's desertii, I have another contender for that ID just from comparing photos anyway (there are some furrows the length of the leaves which grow in a more fan shape than trifasciata). Thanks to everyone for your input - it's fun discussing it and throwing out possibilities.

NextObsession, Keep me in mind for any pup trades. I like that one. As well as every one else here.

I wish 'Woodnative' would respond. He has a S. tri. varigated that looks similar to some of the leaves.

Sure Stush, I'd be honored. It will pup, I finally got Bentel's to get growing so I have hope.

Stush, Chris' sans you're thinking about is probably his Wagner's Gold.

Russ, properly right. I just remember it was beautiful.

I just saw this on eBay H-13 variegated. It's a USDA desertii x trifasciata hybrid. It looks like my plant....

Beautiful variegated sans, but no way that's Fla H-13.

H-13 leaves are vertical and cylindrical with a deep channel the length of the leaf, 3 to 5 to a growth. This sans is a rosette of what appears to be 8 flat leaves.

So the buyer got a gorgeous, but unidentified, sans.

That said, if your plant has channeled cylindrical leaves, it could well be a variegated H-13. I can't tell exactly from your pics.

Well, they did say trifasciata, but seemed unsure about that even. As if they had the plant so long they could no longer remember...I'm a little surprised a trifasciata would still be so, sparse, after so long based on my other ones but then I don't have many variegates. No matter, we'll just see what happens with it. Thanks for demonstrating that all on eBay is not as advertised!
