I purchased a little pond plant from out local plant nursery a little over a month ago and I had it in a bowl of water for about a week while I was waiting to transfer it. To my surprise, one day I looked into the bowl and there were teeny tiny fish fry in there. I am assuming they must be some type of koi or goldfish since they came out of a pond and the eggs had to have been attached to the roots of the plant. They stayed in the bowl for a couple weeks and now they are in a very small aquarium until they get big enough to put into the pond. Right now they are about 1/2" long. My questions are:

Will they be okay with a filter running all the time at this point? My little aquarium has a regular filter but it puts out a kind of strong flow. I don't know if they will get too tired in there if it is running full time. I have it running for a couple of hours a day right now. They seem to be too big to get sucked up by it, I am more worried about stamina.

My second question is whether or not they may change color in the future? Right now they are kind of metallic but mostly clear. (They were clear when they were born, it's a wonder I even noticed them and they survived haha.) They look a little boring though so I am hoping there is a chance they may change colors.
