I've never seen recycled glass counters below 100.00 sq ft. They are one of the more expensive options. There is a store with sustainable materials where I live....they have them.....several years ago they were 100-175 sq foot. Are you sure of the quality from this vendor you found??

I'm looking at the same countertop. Got the same price quote at Lowes, depending on # of slabs needed to fit the layout. I'm waiting on a quote from a local fabricator this week and will update. Have you gotten to see a full slab? Do you know if there are any bits of white in that color? It's really beautiful.

Ed S:

Lowes has tremendous buying leverage with Curava, something that no local fabricator can touch. They pass that savings on to their selected fabricators so the fabricators can make money and Lowes can still have the lowest price. Even if you find someone local for less, he's not going to be making any money on your job. And the guy who's not making any money is the last person on earth you want working on your home.

I don't like mechanical insert sink fasteners used for granite and estone, but using them on recycled glass is just insanity.

I'm looking forward to seeing your picture, Ed S! We are not starting construction until late September. What are you using as a backsplash? What color cabinets?
