tall bearded iris

hello guys ........

i live in sort of zone 10 in Lahore pakistan , this is currently the monsoon season and rainy. i have planted very dry small tubers of bearded iris which my friend has bought me, in pots .......the temps nowadays are in 40c to 45c....i got them in April which is quite hot but i was advised to plant them as soon as possible instead of waiting for October the time in which we usually plant other bulbs......

i keep them in shade because of rain and heat, but a stray cat and her kittens are nesting in my garden and they had ruined every single growth on the tubers . every single leaf was broken and torn , now what should i do ? some of the tubers are sown an inch deep , because of heat but some are on the surface ........there are 20 pots . should they survive the heat? are the iris that are sown deep should i resurface them ? how should i water them , i water very little .......
