Look at BME go - it sure is a nice size. It's a tour de force!

Now you just have to bite the bullet and get him a companion, Jon. May I suggest 'Mini Skirt'? ;-). But then again, things go better in threes, don't they? ;-)

    Hope you get your rest...

Hmmm, a miniature rock garden.....BME, Maui Buttercup, Mini Skirt.....I'm sure it would be a hit; but do I have the stomach for it?

Yes, you do! Looks like a nice day for a ride to a local nursery...

Cochato Nursery shows the two I mentioned as available on their year old list (great people, but they do not keep their online list up to date). Maybe I'll take a ride there tomorrow and if they have Maui Buttercups and Mini Skirt....maybe unless I spot some others I like better.

Hmmm, what would be the chances of that?

My Maui Buttercups is about 30" across...not a mini fwiw

Vanilla Cream, or Hydon Sunset would also work, Limey Lisa is cute and turns more gold in sun. There are so many choices in the mini category but availability may be a problem. Of course a small hosta would also work well with minis ;-).

I could start posting pics of what I have but then your eyes would glaze over and you'd run off, Jon so I won't, LOL!

    Have fun at Cochato! .....

Mikgag, in my defense Very small hosta Green Mountain has it listed as 'very small'. When I saw it I thought, 'I recognize that, it is a nice looking hosta' I have sent them an email to correct the listing.

I just went out and measured my MB, it's 13 inches tall which technically is a medium. For those that aren't aware, hosta sizes are by height, not width.

Not very small in any event.

I was looking at the spot and, since I moved the stone border out this year it should fit with little juggling of other plants. I still like the combination of BME, Mini Skirt and Maui Buttercup....unless I just have to have some giant hostas they might have.

CG, you are probably being too nice to it. My BME knows my general disdain for minis so it knows it is skating on thin ice (Yankee expression). Go out tomorrow morning and scowl at it....that should do it.

Jon, I'll work on my scowl as I brush my teet tomorrow am. lol

josephine, maybe that's the problem. I have them in the shade with my other hostas.
