I agree to mount or put in the ground. You wouldn't want a dog or child running by, or a cat using it as a springboard when descending from the tree to knock it over.

Do you have room to give it some breathing room from the tree trunk? It goes so well where it is, but seems like the beauty of the stone is a little lost.

Thanks for the responses. definitely going to put in the ground about 5 feet in front of tree, it's scrap leftover from my patio flagstone so that's why it's so heavy. Hope for minimal roots........sounds like I gotta use some Brawn.

I'd think about creating a substantial mailbox structure around it. With flowers and maybe low shrubs. I don't know how that would look though.

Have you googled pictures of address signs? I think it deserves a vignette or some environment, like a bed of flowers, shrubbery, boulders?

Definitely landscaping around it, I have the whole dug and getting things leveled and set so its not too deep. Dont want it to be too low obviously. The #'s are attached with an epoxy application that I have used previously for solar lights that I attached to the same material. Should be able to clear it from the tree so it stands on its own in front of a flower bed. Thanks Again!
