Please post a photo of the new sofa that you've ordered.

If you would like to receive advice/suggestions re: (i) furniture layout, (ii) designing a feature wall (fireplace/media console/tv/etc.) = the focal point for the living room, (iii) area rug (style/color/size), and (iv) decor accessories (lighting/textiles/botanicals/vases/other types of home accents) - please prepare a scaled sketch of the room that includes dimensions for all walls/windows/doors/doorways/etc.

It will take just a little effort on your part to prepare it - however, it is necessary in order to receive the necessary assistance in order to elevate your living room to look like a professionally designed space.

As far as decorations, my daughter is first time home buyer so doesn’t have anything. She’s ready to buy! Wants creams and neutrals and some blues. Wants to get entertainment/electric fireplace unit with decorative wall behind it just in living area. Room sizes 15x15

There are no other windows in living room area. Just the sliding door in back.

The new sofa doesnt really go well with the existing chairs. is it to late to reconsider.

A couple suggestions: 1) Center the sofa on the wall. 2) Move coffee table in front of sofa.

The oversized swivel chair is kind of cool, but its shape is too similar to the other two swivel chairs. Maybe replace with a smaller, lighter accent chair in leather or with wooden arms. The new sofa is very beige. Is it a done deal? If so, replace any matching throw pillows with something with color and pattern. A textured throw blanket might help, but not if it’s just going to serve as another pet bed. Dark greens or rust colors would work well.
