Hi Patricia. I searched house for "Plane Calacutta", and found your photos here. Looking for countertops and backsplashes. We love the Plane Calacutta product that you're showing here. And, we also love the Neolith Estatuario! They appear to be similar products, and both do an impressive job mimicking the real thing. We're trying to determine which is more impervious to damage, and which looks better. Or...are they both equal?! I think the Neolith is thicker (12mm), which is probably better for a countertop. As I understand it from Bedrosians, Plane Calacutta is either 6mm or 10mm (if polished A and B panels).

Also, we have been warned about going with polished. People say polished is much more subject to scratching and damage than honed/matte. I think the manufacturers even say this is true.

Really impressive photos of your work, btw! The caps/mitre cuts you have put on the counter extension (for bar stools) and into the sink are really great.

Any insights you have on the above would be greatly appreciated!
