Thanks for the question, we have never had any issue with bottles exploding. The only part of the tiki torch we have had ever get warm was the brass fitting that the wick is held by due to the obvious close proximity to the flame but it definitely doesn't get hot enough to damage the bottle.

What happens when the wick get consumed? Where do you get another one? What kind of fuel (brand name) would you recommend?
