I have to say for an art deco feature, that mirror is gorgeous!
Could you not use that and build on it?
Basically an eau de nil green on the walls and changing your vanity out for something black and white - as well as black and white flooring. I would put some art deco print behind the toilet.

I totally agree with Lyvonne--- embrace the beautiful Art Deco mirror and make it the inspiration for the rest of the powder room. I would go simple and elegant though, because the space is small.

I would keep the mirror if you like but get rid of the cabinet and sink and toilet, unless you find a color that goes with the toilet. Personally it made me dizzy looking at it but it is pretty cool!

If you want a more modern edge to the black/white art deco theme, you could still create a dramatic and elegant look using dark chocolate/ putty brown on walls. Chrome fixtures, white vanity and trim. Colorful abstract art w/ white frame on wall. I'm not a designer- just my humble opinion. I'm inspired by that mirror!

The good news,d, is that the popularity of Hollywood Regency right now makes compatable choices more widely available. Check out the terms art deco and H. regency in ideabook, and then go shopping. (Don't forget to buy Windex)

A black toilet, black sink/ counter combo, glossy cherry wood cabinet...

You could take advantage of your vanity alcove and do an interesting accent tile. And if you don't need the storage, a pedestal will open up the space.
A lot depends on how much you want to spend and how much of a project you want to take on.
In small spaces, be careful with dark and heavy colors which can make the space feel smaller.

The green is drab and depressing. Brighting up the walls with the white in your marble.

Somewhere, now I can't find the photo, I saw a small bathroom, with a mural on the wall behind the toilet... it was really different... added dimension.. made it look like the room went on forever! It was a mural of a new york subway station, but there are many different ones out there in different styles.
If you want to get rid of all of it, what style, colors do you like?

Love the idea of hanging a chandelier! Remember that as soon as you do it becomes one of the star players in the space and then keep in mind that some elements are meant to play supporting roles. Plus lighting is key in small spaces - and I love a good statement piece light fixture.

I just saw the photo today, I believe it was in an idea bathroom book. Had a railway track behind the toilet?

Yes, kimberj, I just found and posted it... It sure was a conversation piece!.... but you could use a garden view, or anything... a neat place in your city that you LOVE to visit, vacation spot you love etc.
Make it personal first, then add in the necesities.... Oh, and I highly recomend a higher than normal height toilet, and I just got one, that has smooth sides, no more cleaning that curly Q thing on the SIDE... I think I got it from Lowes

the mirror curve is wonderful. love the mini glitzy chandelier idea. the floor you're keeping seems to be shades of brown or dusty pink? so go with a white toilet and sink. the off center sink is a nice touch.
look for some very dramatic art deco wallpaper with those colors.

I also love the mirror - its your vanity, toilet, flooring and paint that has to go.
Walls need to be a dark sexy colour - in either paint or wallpaper - some images to inspire you,
it would help if we knew what your style is?
Glamour, modern, traditional, transitional - what mood do you want your family/guests to feel when they use this bathroom?

check out small glass tiles, they have a great assortment, and that would work for the curved wall also.. maybe inset a mirror right in the tiles?

Is the curved wall a false wall or is it part of the architecture of the house. If it's false it shouldn't be that hard to remove. If you have to keep it I would see if the sink could be moved to center or the other end of the vanity area, as it is it looks a little cramped against the wall.

Keep the mirror! Mirror the cabinet and get some flat drawer fronts. Use a black or dark green stone countertop, undermounted simple white sink. If you can find a low-pro white toilet that isn't too "modern" looking, grab it. Keep the door and trim white too.
I like the idea of a deco chandelier.
Is the floor real terazzo, or lino? If it's terazzo, definitely keep it! It's the best flooring ever.
I see the walls in a dark color, maybe a warm gray that would go well with the floor. If you want great art deco wall art ideas, rent one of the Fred & Ginger movies from the 30s. You could even mirror another wall (but get a big mirror, not tiles).
If there's no shower in the room, there's no reason to hang bath towels, so get rid of the rack and put something closer to the sink. put a stack of rounded-front corner shelves in the corner behind the toilet and start collecting atomizers!

i like the curve of the wall, it is interesting. I would remove the mirrors as you seem to not be into the art deco style and as previously stated, it makes me dizzy. I would definitely be sure to move the sink a bit to the left when you install the new one. A cool mosaic tile on the curve would be great. what style do you actually want in this space? It seems many are suggesting glam art deco. Are you feeling that?
