Settling behind basement bulkhead

Hi, I noticed a big cavity underneath and behind the basement bulkhead. There doesn't seem to be any water problems, just a big cavity. House is about 25 years old. It goes a couple feet deep and wide. Should I fill with dirt, gravel, cement? Thanks.

what are you peeling back? why isn't that pea stone falling in the hole? Where did the material from the cavity go? what's to prevent any new material from disappearing and haveing the cavity reform? need more information.

Pack some gravel in there, see what happens. Don't have much info to go further than that. If it keeps disappearing maybe you are in sinkhole country.... get an insurance that cover sinkholes? (if they exist)
