July Bloom Question from a Newbie

I have been enjoying my hardware-store purchase for a couple of years now. Each summer it goes outside, coming indoors in September to while away a few weeks in a darkened closet before I bring it out to light up our winter indoor-garden:



I put it out as usual this summer after re-potting it - now, in mid-July, it seems to be about to bloom:



While it's very exciting to have a hippeastrum blooming in summer outdoors in my zone 5 garden, I wonder - is this normal? Will this mean that it won't bloom next winter after its usual autumn dormancy?

Or should I just enjoy the bloom and proceed as usual next September?

    enjoy the bloom, proceed as usual in September. one year of two blooms wont hurt it. that's what I like about hippeastrums- they'll throw you a random flower every so often. a lot of people on here just have a bloom or two all year and then a big bloom at some point. don't worry about it. if anything, you've been taking really good care of it if its throwing up an extra scape :)
