Tillandsia dyeriana. It likes it airy, warm, and humid. Best suited for greenhouse culture. Keep it potted and it may like it where you live.

Julia - That's a great looking plant you have there, and what a great contrast the white flower makes against the scarlet bracts. I don't have any knowledge about Tillandsias but I expect someone else here can give you some cultural advice.

Gonzer_gw, I intend to take it to the Caribbean and plant it in my garden there. Do you think I can put it directly into the ground? Not being there all the time, I'm afraid it might not thrive in a pot, if it's not watered.

I've never seen one planted in-ground Julia. It's one of the harder species to grow for the average collector and needs constant TLC.
