Location of plug

I see this is a plug-in style. I am wiring up the outlet for this tonight. Should I plan on the outlet being in the chimney area? Can you give me the distance from the bottom of the hood to the location of my outlet?

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting us. The plug can be placed and hidden behind the chimney covers if you would like a cleaner and wireless appearance. It would not affect the unit if you decide to have the electrical outlet placed outside of the arrange hood, you would just only be able to see it. The electrical plug begins about 7 inches from the bottom of the filters.

So the plug begins 7" from the bottom of the filters, but how long is the plug? Need to know whether the outlet should be right at the bottom of the chimney cover or if it can be higher up. Thanks
