Option 2 is much nicer: it adds a huge amount of storage that any buyer would appreciate. Its actually fairly common to walk into a wall, and because you have exterior doors (allows furniture to move in and out of room) there isn't a functional barrier.

For aesthetics I would wrap the entire closet wall in a neutral patterned wallpaper.

Ending wallpaper on an open corner doesn't wear well so I would continue it along the entrance tot he closet: ending at the bed wall.

Here's another option where the bathroom stays the same size but the closet is 2 foot longer. Is it weird though that the bedroom door opens to only a 2 foot wide wall vs a 3 foot wide wall that aligns with the door.

we would have roll out drawers so we could utilize the back part of the drawers.

One idea we toyed with is making the linen closet only 25 inch deep but that would mean the shower would be further out at 40" and creates a jutted out corner that you visually walk into when coming into the bathroom. What do you think about that?

Like the smaller bathroom in option 1 and larger bedroom. A personal preference would be a pocket door entry as a space saver.

Might consider adjusting the location of the windows in option 1 to those of option 2, thereby freeing up space to increase the size of the walk in on the one side, or create extra furniture placement etc. Have you considered wall mounted bedside night drawers...this helps with space as well.

Your architect needs to provide you with other options.

You don't need more options, you just need to prioritize what's important to you. Option 3 is the best compromise and is my preference. As far as the wall opposite the door, I have the same situation and just use it to hang a nice piece of art.

Thank you for your input. Option 2 has a 2 foot wide wall opposite the door vs a 3 foot wall that would match the width of the door. Do you find a 2 foot wide wall would feel short or odd? It would be hard to find a 2 foot wide piece of art there too.

24" is more than enough width for many photographs, paintings or wall hangings.
