Oxalis tetraphylla 'Iron cross' is a tuberous perennial so depending on your climate it can overwinter either indoors or out.

Thanks for that floral_uk. When I spoke with the home owner she told me that she brings it in in the Fall to overwinter.

Any non-hardy plant can be used "as an annual." Just depends on your budget & which plants you can find. Any plant that's not a true annual can theoretically be saved over winter. Whether or not it actually works depends on a lot of factors.

I grew that oxalis in a container for a few years. Like how it plays off the heuchera and fern coloration, rouge.

I like sapaglosis. I like the velvety petals and jewel tone colors. I do grow it occasionally but I hate the fact that it has such weak spindly stems that it flops over on to other plants unless staked

I grew that oxalis last summer. It was gorgeous and put out a lot of runners. Wish I had brought it indoors for winter because there was zero sign of it this year, and none at the nursery here.
