Need help with recess lighting

The main part of the drawing is our living room. To the left side is kitchen, and above the top wall is pathway to bedroom and bathroom. The door is exterior door serving as main entrance to the house.

The living room is 18ft by 12ft, with 8ft ceiling height. Right now, our furnitures (like TV and sofa) are in the respective positions as shown in the drawing. However, we would like the recess lighting to be more general so that if we decide to do any furniture changes (or eventually sell the house), it would easily fit other layout as well.

Thus, we came up with this lighting plan. 2 rows of 3 six-inch recess lighting, total of 6.

For the 18-ft dimension side -- starting from left, 4ft away from the wall, 6ft between fixtures, and finally 2ft from the fall. (4+6+6+2=18). We are assuming the door portion doesn't need too much lighting, does this setup make sense?

For the 12-ft dimension side -- it would be 2ft away from the wall, 8ft between fixture, and then 2ft from the wall. (2+8+2=12). This way, the lightings are closer to the furnitures, which are usually close by the walls. However, we are also thinking to make it 3ft away from wall, 6ft between fixture, which makes the lightings more evenly spread out in the room. Any suggestions? Or something in between these two options?

By the way, we chose 3000k, 600 lumen recessed lightings.

Thanks in advance for the help.
