Where are you putting the bed or murphy bed ? Is that the bathroom off the space with the builtins I am a bit confused. with the layout.

The size of the couch will be limited by the entries, stairs and elevator access to your apartment, so make sure you measure those access points before purchasing your couch. Are you going to want a small table for dining/work space?

I think milos is more concerned with the actual space to get into the apt. sofas don’t bend so the hall and doorways definately has to be considered. I love the coffee tables that convert to dining they just make so much sense in a small space.

Much like it won't matter if there are people volunteering to help move a dresser upstairs if the stairs are too narrow for the dresser to fit as it's being moved up there - a sofa too wide or too tall (depending on how it's being transported, and the various points in the building it must pass through) to get to your apartment wall, how much space that wall has doesn't matter much.
