You might be better served by checking where each wire runs. Typically the white will run to the coil. Power that and the coil will go away. Ground that and it will shut the engine off. Kohler has different ignition systems, but if there are no other components on the engine besides the coil - you're safe. If the engine is equipped w/ a fuel shut off solenoid below the carburetor, that needs 12 VDC whenever the switch is on. Charging system much like Briggs depends on which one it has. If it has a voltage regulator, the center terminal is fed through the switch to the battery. If not, you would do best to check what you have coming out of stator feed. DC? AC?

I got it fixed it was wired right after the second attempt.I found wires from the clutch switch that had been cut into by the steering mechanism and after repairing that I just got don't mowing for 4 hours ,now if I could only get the speed control to work on the tranny and the breaks to stop me I'd be ok this summer.thanks for your help.
