I am looking for a custom column mounted mailbox. Where did you get the one in the picture?

    Hi goroho,

I custom designed this mailbox to match the overall house design project. It was built "from scratch", on site by the project owner's Artisan team. The owner did use some off-the-shelf products. If you go to direct link http://www.santabarbarahomedesigner.com/spanish-style-homes-photos-santa-barbara-california.htm (scroll about 1/3 down that page)... there, you can see alot of photos for the project, and also direct links to the off the shelf components that were used. Other than those resources, the column was built on a hand poured cement footing, then cement blocks stacked/mortar. Red firebrick and also tumbled used brick were incorporated "leftovers" from the project. They were cut in thin veneer slices on site, and then mortared in place along with the Spanish deco tiles. Then, custom exterior plaster (same as on house) was applied artistically by the mason/plasterer to transition from those materials to the cement block and to create the curves and special column cap. Then the column was painted to match the house. A true art project.

Hope that helps. Good Luck with your project.
