Kitchen layout feedback, please

I've really appreciated everyone's help with my kitchen and would like to get one more round of feedback before I place the cabinet order.

The placement of windows and doors is pretty much set. I can change some framing, cabinet types, cabinets sizes, etc.

I want to make sure that I haven't overlooked any major functionality issues or storage limitations.

What do you all think?

Sink Wall

Fridge Wall

Range Wall

The square void at the end of this run is for a second oven.

Mud Area

This will be in one corner of the kitchen.

    I have a few comments:

You have a lot of filler around the sink. What's your plan for the very narrow cabinet between trash and corner? I have one that's 9", and it's perfect for cookie sheets and cutting boards.

Are the corner base cabinets lazy susans or super susans? I don't see dimensions, but it looks like the one by the fridge is only 33". 36" would be much better, and it looks like you have some filler by the DW.

The cabinet my the fridge might be a lot more functional if it opens toward the bar.

Speaking of the bar - how do you expect to use that sink? It might be convenient to have the faucet next to the wall, so it can be used from both sides.

I had two angled corner uppers in my old kitchen, and I loathed them. Easy-reach uppers offer significantly better storage.

The uppers to the left of the range - 21" and 18". I would combine those into a single cabinet. Neither is a terrible size - but you lose storage by making it two separate pieces. The 21" already throws off any symmetry you may have been going for around the range, so you might as well make it more useful.

I would let the uppers on both sides die into the sink wall, to give the windows some space. You could do glass doors on each side of the range, or to the right of the fridge.

    I think it looks fantastic!

I like mama's idea of ending the uppers. Those corner uppers always feel so hulkingly large and the space beneath them (and in them) is less useful than it otherwise could be. Let the windows and your fabulous backsplash (whatever it may be) be the stars of that wall!

The only thing that hits my eye is that if the second sink area is meant to be a bar, you might want to consider moving the beverage fridge there, and scooting the microwave near the fridge.

I agree with eam44 above. I'd flop the beverage fridge and the microwave somehow. The bev fridge stuck in the corner is not very useful. And the microwave should be near the fridge, IMO.

The hood should be 6" wider than the stove.

I agree with eliminating the corner uppers, swapping beverage fridge and mw and wider hood.

Would opening the dishwasher be difficult if someone were standing with fridge open? If so, have you considered moving dishwasher to right side of sink?
