I have that Coelogyne rochussenii. I have yet to get it to flower. It has grown very large but no flowers over the years. I decided to move it around and try more light, it only burned the leaves...back in the shade.

I'm thinking it doesn't like Florida heat.

I love that plant, saw one at an orchid show 4 years ago and bought one.

Still hoping....

• Plant received FCC/AOC when the the judging panel visited the orchid. The plant is growing in a shade-house in tropical North Queensland some 2700 kilometers from here. There are two seasons there, the wet and the dry. Currently it is very wet and my understanding is that the plant is misted daily in the dry."

Thank you Arthur. Similar growing conditions regarding wet/dry seasons. I do not mist. The orchid hangs under a Loquat tree and gets occasional sprays with the hose during the winter months when we get no rain at all. That is probably the reason, although the plant has grown quite large despite my neglect.
