Last year I planted quite a few Kabocha. But unknownly, I also planted some kind of c. Maxima orange pumpkin. Here are some photos from last year:

This year, I planted the seeds I saved from two of the green Kabocha. But the new pumpkins look like cross pollinated. Here are some photos from this year:

I believe they were cross-pollinated last year. I do not know the taste of the new ones. But the last pumpkin is huge.

I'm not going to save any more seeds this year. I have some more batches of kabocha seeds, not collected last year.
