It's a Mexican travertine, in a "split face" style. Different manufacturer will sell it under different names. Some places might also refer to it as "stone veneer travertine". The thickness of the stone/tile is ~ 1" to ~ 1.5"

Are the corners of the stone mitred? The split face travertine we are looking at doesn't come with corners. Would a 45 mitre look good?

    Hello there,

in this particular case, the stove veneer is only on the frontal (not lateral) wall. If you are wondering if mitering would look good for your application, I would say that indeed it would (if installed correctly). There are also a myriad of stone veneer products that already offer corner pieces.
