Definition of a weed is a plant located in a place where you don't want it. So if YOU don't like it, then it's a weed. (looks like a weed to me - a coarse fescue)

Fescue. Spray and kill, or dig it out. Regardless of the method, if you don't want it do the removal in the fall so you can seed and regrow the spot with a grass that will blend better.

Ok thank you. Do we know why we get these in the lawn ? I was at Costco looking for grass seed I found Pennington at Costco has tall fescue blend seeds. I am in Indiana Do people deliberately plant tall fescue ?

What you actually have is K31 non turf type fescue..prevalent in indiana. The fescue you see in grass seed bags is not this type. It is more a fine blade and blends in well w your typical kbg and rye's. If you just have a few clumps, dig em out...if they are more than 40% of the turf, consider a chemical solution. Unfortunately non selective herbicides are all that will work..so be careful
