Has anyone built #888-7 plan by Nicholas Lee?

My fiance and I are in love with this plan, but struggling to figure out if it would be affordable. The two major costs that we foresee are the cost of concrete, as this house has a large footprint, and the steel roof (shingles would just not look right at all).
So my question is: has anyone built this house? What was your experience with the cost? Are there ways to make this house affordable without altering the exterior of the home? I really believe that this house is unique BECAUSE of the roof, layout, and even the amount of large windows.
Also, has anyone used the "cost to build" feature with this houseplan? How accurate did you find it to be?
Any answers, tips, or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Find a GC and ask him that question. No way for anyone to know frost depth @ your location.

It will not be the cost of concrete - it will be the cost of foundation [LABOR]. No one can tell based on little information you provided. Cost could also depend on a soil type. Expensive soils could do a number on your budget.

Steel roof? or aluminum - again greatly depend on the local rates. Metal roofing itself is not that expensive [$90s/100 sq ft]. Install - another issue.

The roofing may not be expensive, but I know that the total cost with install was 1 1/2x as much as our concrete roof.
