    That is absolutely fine. Just make sure to add some light centre piece for the table and maybe an interesting floor lamp in the corner or a pendant above the dining table.

      it is a living and dining room combo...I have cream and navy drapes, 2 navy arm chairs, white roving round coffee table (can be seen near the arm chair wrapped in black cover)

      I would suggest to add some interesting piece with strong colours for the wall. It will create a relationship with the blue armchairs. And cream/white accessories for the dining table and the sofa depending of the colour of the last one.

      thanks for your advice Shallot Studio. Unfortunately all my art is black and white, I have to make it work with those. I plan to use very colourful throw pillows though.
