Thanks Pagen, It got imported from Waterloo from a very good source. I'm getting paranoid about the sun and my Thai Socos. Usually my motto is only the strong survive. I'm not very good at babying my plants and shade is at a minimum in my back yard.

Ah yes, the mystical Waterloo source. Then you're good. It's probably a characteristic of the hybrid, I don't really know. I have the same principle---adapt or die. At the peak of my seed-sowing, I probably had about 60 plants which went down to about 32 last autumn. After an erratic spring, I am now down to 26 because I can't be bothered with persnickety plants.

At least one of my Thai Socos looks like that. It doesn't seem to harm it, but it is smaller than the others.

It's sunburn, believe me I know about that!

I'll show pictures of mine later, but I thought mine had it before going out into the sun. I think I have some old pics from when it was started under lights.

I think this picture is of it when it was still in Thailand.. The one on the left.

I guess it can still get sunburned in Thailand...

Cynthia, Is that fresh sunburn?

A few weeks ago one of my plumerias got sunburn here in the Netherlands of all places.

It has about 8 month old...

There was a photo of a plant posted on Facebook group quite some w the same effects. There was no definite answer for it. Blisters of sap, etc. There where quite a few that had made comment of a plant of their own w this and it was not felt that there was any alarm for concern.

What Pagan has mentioned would be worth doing. Err on the side of caution.

After my detective work I think it has been there long enough that I don't need to worry about it.. I wish they had spray on sunscreen for plants.. July and August are brutal.
