It's triple-digit temps lately. The blooms are slowing down and frying fast! Gotta get back to deadheading... auuggghhh!!

Looking awfully good for triple digits. We're staying in the 80's for now.

SPECIAL OCCASION is catching my eye tonight. Along with others, natch. The cluster of TWIST looks great against the green. I was driving somewhere yesterday and saw a pastel pink HT against a pale grey house. Wow.

Ann, SURPRISE was a rose some of us got at Lowes over 10yrs ago. They sold some odd roses in 2gal pots that no one knew much about. Never did find any info about it. Another one they had at that same time was ATLANTIC CITY. That one we at least do have info on now. Seems like there was another rose, but I can't remember what it was. I think those roses came from Canada. I almost lost SURPRISE a couple of yrs ago. I'm soo glad it recovered. I love it! Oh I remember the other one... "PLUM ROSE." Never did find anything about that one either. I just realized that rose hasn't bloomed in a long time. It's in a bed we just cleaned out that was overrun with weeds and massive grass clumps!

It's hard to believe you can grow such gorgeous roses in such high heat!!
