I see seeds posted for sale and most of the plants look non-chimeric in variegation but I wanted to ask if any of you have actually grown variegated plants from seed. (If I wasn't entirely clear.)

The percentages of getting a Variegated seedling is extremely low and even when you do get one. It can revert back to green.

I have had 4-5 seedlings show variegation within the first 6 mths. and then revert. Many have said that some of these can revert back again in time.

Most of the Variegated plants are from Grafts.

That's about what I was expecting, thank you. I have variegated streptocarpus and it's much the same issue though I am able to reproduce them with a bit more dependability from leaf and tissue culture, it can still be hit and miss.

I do believe that Tracy has a nice one that she started from seed? She could tell you about it.
