I have a vanity made out of Montclair Danby marble. We are going on year two with no problems until DH left a metal soap dispenser on the counter. There is a slight mark of rust...grrr. Two things appealed to me: density and the fact that the vanity can be resurfaced with a green pad and Comet. I just was not planning on resurfacing so soon if I end up etching that slight rust spot when I try removing it. Now, I wish I had asked for one of the sink cut-outs so I could try some rust removal products before I use any on the vanity.
