The following lawn damage popped up this week seemingly out of nowhere. There are holes 2-5 inches in diameter next to the concrete slabs in the pictures but not actually in the middle of the lawn. Almost hard to tell for sure if there is a pest as summer heat has dried up a lot of lawns in the area (Cincinnati, OH). What might I have, best way to kill and prevent it, and will I have to reseed these patches?
