Kitchen Before and Afters

Sharing for more inspiration. Can provide specific details for those in the ATL area. The goals for this remodel were:

Replace cabinets
Remove upper cabinets over stove to open space
Vent the peninsula hood to outside
Replace counter tops and add a 12 inch overhang to create a counter height bar on peninsula
New backsplash
Paint: trim, doors, and new wall color
Replace dishwasher (only appliance replaced at the time)

We did this remodel for $11k. The floors and 2 out of 3 appliances stayed the same. After the remodel we later had to replace our smooth surface cooktop due to a crack. We replaced it with an induction cooktop.

I actually purposefully wanted white appliances, but as you know it's hard to find induction cooktops in white. :)

Switched out black microwave for white. We also chose inexpensive under cabinet lighting from Ikea.

Holy cow! What an incredible transformation, and I'm not just taking about the kitchen, the entire space including the eating area looks so much better! WOW!!! And for 11k? This just goes to show that an excellent remodel can happen without having to pay some of the #s people throw around here...

Wonderful transformation! You did a great job! I, too, like white appliances, but I think the darker induction cooktop works well, as it ties in with your dark window trim. What a warm and classy kitchen!

What brand is your induction cook top? I'm looking for one that allows an oven built in underneath it - they don't all do.

Thanks all!

I did all of the painting - but that's it. Hired out cabinets, counters, and electrical.

The counter top is kashmir white 'granite'.

The cook top model is the Frigidaire FGIC3067MB and I couldn't find alot about it before purchasing so wrote a summary (which is here). It's internal parts are all Electrolux.

frmsrdghtr, cabinets were $6600 installed. They are J&K Cabinetry
The granite countertops were $1900 installed including 18g stainless steel 60/40 sink (there was a special where they were including the sink with counters at the time)
