Beginner here, I picked up this guy after immediately bonding with him at the nursery. He was sold to me as "miscellaneous houseplant" and I was told he would be one of the happier plants in low light rooms. Around a month into his stay at our house (basement with small upper window), he started shedding VERY quickly and nothing I've done has seemed to stop it! I'd really like to keep him alive but I'm not even sure I can identify him. I'm attaching pictures (note that he came with splotches on many of his leaves which I only found out today were mineral deposits and gave them a good scrubbing). He's outside because in my confusion I guessed he needed more sun. Anything I can do?
