Forty tomatoes on one plant...all ripe the same day?

Yes, well 90% ripe, they didn't all ripen over night, but maybe 3 or 4 days. Don't want to let them get overripe, or have rain split them. So I pick them at almost ripe and then more can come. There's another 10 or so today already, they are coming fast and furious. Weather has been sunny, and in the mid 80s for weeks. It's a container plant, in about a 15 gal container. Don't have a camera at the moment, or I'd post a pic.

Aw come on Ed! Don't be a tomato wimp! You can do it! Tomatoes for breakfast, lunch and supper. What's so hard about that???? {LOL}

That's when they go in the crockpot, then into the blender, then into the freezer. I mean when we start getting the tomato gags ;)

If my wife were here she'd be canning up a storm, but since I'm here alone camping out at the old house........am good for about 4 or 5 tomatoes per day. Do have a lot of friends though who are only to happy to relieve me of my burden. Thumbs up.

I have very good luck freezing tomatoes, especially the smaller sized ones. When frozen, the skins are super easy to remove if you put the tomato in room temp. water for a few minutes.

I remember you , Ed , have had good reviews on Stupice in the past. I think it was 2013. I was also growing a Stupice then with poor production and tiny tomatoes.

Now I know that there are more than 2 strains of Stupice out there.

Can you post a picture of the tomatoes that you are raving about ?
