Shrub ID/Kansas City, MO Zone 6

I'm trying to ID some shrubs for a friend of mine who just bought some property. I'm thinking it's "Blue Shadow" Fothergilla or Smokebush. Any ideas? Or confirmation? I can ask for more photos if the ones below don't work. Thanks!
