I got a second opinion on another board I go to. It is a peduncle, woohoo!!!

Normally I wouldn't question what I was looking at, at least not at this stage in the game... but this is my Hoya imperialis. One year from cutting, grown in a windowsill with no artificial lights in the summer months. It does get a spot under a cheap LED in the winter, but has not seen anything but natural light since at least March.

And to think, a month or two ago I was debating selling it since blooming it would be such a hassle... ha! Here is hoping for more hot weather and more than a little luck. :)

How exciting! How big is the whole plant? (Picture if it's easy to take?) There is nothing but sun and heat in our forecast (Missoula), and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get the same! :)

I am not that far from you over here in Spokane, forecast looks similar. This one is definitely happiest with mid to high 90's.

Here is the whole plant, certainly not very large yet. It has put out a ton of new growth this year though. I am using grafting tape to make loose fitting ties for it in an attempt to train it to the trellis. It will need something larger eventually. It is in a 6" pot, with 24" bamboo u-hoops.

Kind of, it is still very small, as are the adjacent leaf buds. Good luck with yours, hope we both have imperialis blooms this year!

Now I am thinking about finding small cuttings of pink and yellow imperialis for a group pot, hahah. They get so big though. Hmmm.
