Gold Marie Pole Beans: when exactly to harvest

last modified: 10 years ago

I have been reading that Gold Marie are nice when picked at 6 inches, after which they can get tough and fibrous. This is our second year in a row with them. They are staying greenish again this year (though in a different garden spot) until they are at least 8 to 10 inches. If it's best to let them grow to be a bean for drying, I'm fine with that, too, as it is a very hardy plant. Any experience?
