Cut through the base and paint Roundup on the stump. The growth on the house will die and can be pulled off. It will leave marks where the little stickers were.

We have a similar vine, Parthenocissus henryana, on our house. It goes up 4 storeys and needs trimming at least 3 times a year.

Unless it is kept firmly under control VC or similar creepers can cover over your windows in a few weeks, grow onto the roof, under the tiles and block gutters and down pipes. When the leaves drop in Autumn they form a thick compost in the gutters which can cause flooding unless removed. We do love our Parthenocissus henryana but it is requires dedication to keep it strictly to the walls. At the moment (what we laughingly call 'Summer') the upstairs windows are kept open for ventilation and periodically we have to cut back the tendrils which come indoors and start climbing the curtains. If you can't or don't wish to do this kind of maintenance VC is not really a good candidate for climbing a house. (BTW our house is a 4 storey row house - a single storey house would disappear altogether in a single summer.)

Yes, I have it on the fences in the backyard. It completely covers the chain link and provides a lot of privacy and beauty. The neighbor next door says it was planted about 30 years ago. I'm just battling the part growing on my house. I have cut roots, dug, sprayed, and repeated. It is not as bad as it was, but man is that stuff tough!
