My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Odd space in living room

Hello!

We've been living in our 1964 ranch for 4 years now and this particular space drives me crazy! What was it for? Planter box on top? I'd love some tips or ideas of how we can best utilize it. It's currently being used to display pictures, books and misc items.

    It's a very awkward piece. Are you able to remove it completely? That might open up the space a bit.

      Thank you Gerety for the response. I haven't thought of actually removing it and that's an interesting idea. However that will leave me with another awkward space, no? I could measure and possibly put a small chair there, but currently there's a bench so not sure it would be worth the hassle. Thanks again for the help!
