it sounds like a delightful place! a trip to ireland has always been a dream of mine, one that i will never fulfill but i absolutely love looking at pictures!!

The Trad farms are my very favourite place on earth... For many reasons they let me in free and over the years the people there have bcome my friends.. They have turf fires in all the cottages and bake soda bread on them. The houses are exact replicas of local farms in the 30s and 40s.. Hens pecking round, and all along the way, animals.. I go there as a real treat after my shopping in KIllarney. Sit by their fires and knit a while.. Chat to the visitors and show them round sometimes. Two HUGE shirehorses,,, a baby donkey! It has been meticulously researched and built. The man in charge, and this is by the way within our National Park here, is a sheer genius. Sources all the materials etc locally. The School house is fairly new and he showed me round as it was almost finished. The desks are from a school that closed etc Save your pennies and come over! I will take you round the places I love...
