I need some chimeras. I'll be shopping soon. The problem is that some aren't stable and so I'd like some suggestions from anyone who reads this and knows what's good and what isn't.

You lucked out on this one. It is blooming very true white and pink - and most of them Dream Makers are bleeding pink on pink - pretty - but no cigar...

Leon - none of them are really stable... nature of the beast. Get the one you really like - and play with it to your heart delight - until you figure out - it is just another violet...

This is the second round of blooms on the above plant. It lost its stripes.

Wow, I didn't realize that chimeras can loose their stripes... Good thing I haven't spent money on any yet.. :P

But wow they are pretty when they do have those stripes. Pretty without the stripes too. ;) if you took a leaf from a chimera, would the resulting violets look like the stripe-less violet?

I'm guessing that would be the case. I accidentally bought a second plant which ended up with suckers. The original one hasn't bloomed yet and it will be a while before the suckers get to that stage. This seems to be a slow growing plant, at least for me. Perhaps it would be faster for someone who uses lights.
