Thanks!! I am so in love with Chartreuse de Parme!!!! I can't wait til next year when it should do even better!! The color is swoon worthy!!! BEdR is the parent of my favorite rose (which died) Paradise Found. I find it reminds me of PF with its coloring.

Irisgal - Baronne Edmond de Rothschild was new (bareroot) in 2014. I was not happy with it until this year. I love the fragrance too!

Zephyr has the stick. :) He's always hungry. His favorite thing in the world is to get my older poodle, Jellybean, to chase him.

Thanks for all of your kind words. :) I'm thinking of getting rid of most of my Austins. I like the HTs better. I have a friend who wants to get started with Austins, and she'll love to get mine. :) Zaide is way better than most Austins here. I don't think we get warm enough.

Ingrida - Yeah, I know - I whine too much. LOL There's way worse than having rain every day. But (more whining) I think I've had only three nice days in all of July. In those days (not altogether) I spend all my time cutting back broken branches and deadheading ruined flowers. I miss the days when I could sit outside and enjoy them. Maybe the end of August will be better. Upcoming we have another seven days (at least) of rain/thunderstorms. Blech.

The new standard poodle up the street is cream. White to me but a softened white. She appears to be very bright. Good owners.

I'm glad the camera didn't change Toffee to black. Speaking of stupid. I had a rescued brother & sister (kittens). The male was the stupidest cat I've ever met. Also the most loving. Not a hunter but he'd admire his sister's assorted kills. One night, at last, he found his forte. Came thru the window with wet legs and black crepe paper around his neck. Until it detached & flew into the hallway. Double blech.

Lovely blooms again! And yes that is echinacea in the photo. You should move to Ontario, you could even plant some of your roses in the ground here! I commented the other day to you, that you should send rain here. Well guess what? We had torrential downpours for 20 minutes that day. Then the sun came out & it was 37 C again.

Irisgal - whiite/cream poodles are beautiful, but I imagine very difficult to keep clean. Although they're the perfect color if you're into vegetable paint coloring of your dogs for contests. Those are so neat to see on t.v. Cute story about your cats. :) Yup, the females seem smarter to me than the males. LOL

Kentucky - Thanks!!! I have a macro lens, and my camera is pretty idiot proof. The wind is stiff and everything's madly swaying, yet the camera gets the shot. I'm always amazed by that. So there's no skill on my part. :) But yes, Paradise has great beauty in it.

Very nice roses...and dogs! Brocéliande is one of few hybrid teas that does well in a pot for me.

Oh my! Your oses are jut gorgeous!! Love love them. I think the tall poodles are so regal looking: I never knew they existed until several years ago.

April - Standard poodles are wonderful dogs!! They're the original poodle size. They come in lots of colors - phantom (dobermann colors), blue, silver, gray, white black, brown red, apricot, parti (two colors - like a pinto horse), etc. Thanks for the kind words about my roses...nice blooms are few and far between with so much hail.

I absolutely love Toffee..is it true Poodle are extremely intelligent his so cute..oh yeah and the rose WOW Chartreuse de Parme is a beauty and Paradise...I have to get these they all look awesome

Yes, Toffee is a sweetie...he's the perfect dog. Sometimes too smart isn't the best..and he's not the smartest dog you'll ever see...while my female is uber smart. I give my dogs choices, and they pick what they want to do. My female, Jellybean, once found someone's keys in the field and on another occasion brought a puppy back to its owners. I tried to train her as a service dog for me for my mobility...she could do everything, but she was afraid of escalators. She was two at the time and had never seen one. She would turn me left or right on command. She was awesome. She can get me anything I want...tissue, remote control, socks from the pile of clothes, my shoes, anything I drop, etc. She's very smart!

I agree with you!!! I love, love, love Chartreuse de Parme!! I am so glad I got it!!!

However, Radox Bouquet (one of my new roses this year) has the best fragrance ever!!! Even in terrible weather, its scent is fabulous!!!
