Pool lights

I hired a contractor that did me dirty. Redid my whole pool I paid for lights colorlogic by hayward. He put 2 extra returns in my pool told me that's how they fish the line thru. I became concerned when ligets were still not in and concrete started to be poured. I fired him for many reasons but now everyone is telling me they can't put wire thru an empty return line for lights....

The radii of the bends in the return lines (PVC?) may be too tight to be able to pull the cable through. The jacket on the cable can be damaged if too much resistance is encountered.

thank you.. if I just put one of them in I have a straight shot about 5 ft.. do you think that woukd work?

The conduit has to go from the light to a point 6" above the flood plane of the pool. That's the lowest point that it can be connected to the circuit.
