Cuttings and winterizing

Greetings all,

My hydrangea and crape myrtle cuttings should be rooted by the end of August. I am wondering if they will be strong enough to survive winter at this point. I considered putting the hydrangeas in a bed and covering them with leaves. Not sure about the myrtles. Any suggestions on how to best protect them would be appreciated. I am in zone 7.

I'm sorry I can't help you and that nobody responded. You could go to your local Agricultural center for help or go to EDIS for your zone.
