Cabinet stain for Cambria Montgomery

My parents are building a back house on our property and trying to stay within a strict budget, but just got an outrageously high cabinetry quote due to everything being painted. They have decided to do stain instead for all the bathrooms/closets. My mom has her heart set on Cambria Montgomery Quartz (pictured) and cannot picture it over stained cabinets. Does anyone have any pictures of it installed or suggest a very light stain that might work? The bathroom is small and we are trying to keep it as light as possible.

ahhhh the killer words "My mom has her heart set".

i'd call around to fabricators for what they have available as remnants. kitchen counters are one thing, but bathrooms and closets i design around what is available. she might not get her first or second choice but there are a lot of lovely ones to choose from.

(if the kitchen was going to be this counter as well, make sure you arent in fact ordering an extra slab for the closets and baths)

Exactly. She is getting to the point where she's just going to get a cheaper Quartz to put over the stained cabinets. I really want to convince her to keep at least something she loves. The Montgomery has literally been the one thing that she has seen and said "I have to have that." Its only going in the master bathroom which she wants to feel "beach-y", but we can only picture it with white or gray cabinets and haven't found any pictures with it over a stain.

I think the darker cabinets do look fine with it?

you could easily do a natural cherry stain or a grey stain. grey does not need to be paint!

I would pick a light stain with the least orange in it. Dark cabinets are to be used sparingly, they are great for contrast in large environments but they suck the light out of a small room.
