Two springs ago, I planted 20 arborvitae to form a privacy fence along a chain link fence. They are now five to six feet tall and look beautiful. New neighbors want to install a privacy fence around their back yard. Will this harm my arborvitae? The sun exposure will be reduced by 30%, and the fence will be planted less than 12 inches from their center. Will they survive under these conditions?
