Windows interior color

Why did you choose a darker interior color for some doors and windows vs white in other rooms? It looks nice but want to understand the logic

The client had an idea that they wanted the look to be dynamic - lots of pop and contrast. So we chose certain areas and places that we painted black. Too much black would not have the same look so we were very careful to choose what we felt was the right mix.
